See photos from the 2015 Saminifest as Samini, Mzbel, Stonebwoy, VVIP and more thrill fans

The 2nd edition of the SaminiFest which was held at the La Trade Fair Centre on Saturday, 5th Dec. 2015. The event attracted over 25, 000 people from all walks of life.
The event started with lots of underground acts mounting the stage; Bastero, Rudeboi Ranking, Captan, Agbeshie, Ur Nenebi among others to show off what they’ve got.
VVIP, Kwaw Kese, Black Prophet, Tic Tac, Joey B, Gamilla, Kaakie, Jupiter, Mzbel, among other acts also took to the stage to give a good account of themselves.
BET award-winner, Stonebwoy on the night was simply incomparably incomparable. He took his performance this time around with all zeal and with all seriousness. He spent close to about 40 minutes thrilling and rocking the much-packed audience to his great tunes such as Rudeboi love, Wicked, Climax, Baafira, Mightelele and crowned it all with the jam of the moment, Go Higher. Indeed he gave a good account of himself.
Samini came on stage at exactly 3:23am. His entrance caused a disarray among the much-packed crowd over there. Upon sighting their dancehall god, they started screaming and shouting to the best of their abilities. He started off his performance with Love rocks, then sweet mistake, where by baby dey…
Indeed his performance was simply a sight to behold. What a performance it was? Truth be told, when it was getting to 5:00am some of us thought that we were very tired and Samini should just consider ending the show, but it seems that wasn’t the general view of lot of fans over there. For them, it’s a festival and since they wouldn’t have SaminiFest till next year Decemeber, they would want to jam till and till.
Big ups to Samini and his crew for pulling such a show through. Epic, Stunning, Sterling, we just can’t describe this year’s concert….

Samini implies that Shatta Wale’s insults nearly killed his mum

It seems the beef between the two major dancehall artistes in Ghana, Samini and Shatta Wale has transcended beyond reasonable dialogue with the two even more determined to continue the jab-throwing.
Samini in an interview on Peace FM Saturday revealed that he would only forgive Shatta Wale if he apologizes to his (Samini) mother for certain comments made in the past against her person, and to retract the vulgar words he used in his songs referring to him, and his mum.
Samini noted that his mother was disturbed by the constant attacks on him publicly.
“My mum’s blood pressure went up because she heard that her son has a beef with someone which nearly caused her life.
“If someone disrespects your mother you wouldn’t take it cool, it is beyond me, he should tell the truth that I offended him and reverse the negative things he said about me.”

The beef between the two has been ongoing for years. Things seem to have worked out when the ‘Dancehall King’ hit maker apologized to Samini and his camp at the nominees jam for the maiden edition of the BASS Awards. The truce was somewhat reached shortly after the apology was rendered.
When asked to pardon his colleague dancehall artiste, Samini made it known that Shatta Wale should apologize to his mum before he can be cool with him.
“I will only be cool with him when he apologizes to my mum.”
Upon persistent push to patch up the differences, Samini promised to give a ‘VIP’ ticket to Shatta Wale to attend his upcoming event ‘SaminiFest’ on December 5 at the Trade Fair Centre, La.
Meanwhile Dancehall artiste, Shatta Wale in an earlier interview with Bola Ray on Starr FM disclosed that he wouldn’t mind playing for free at Saminifest, a musical concert produced by Samini
